The cost is so high due to service, work, originality of a unique design and first-class materials of the finest quality. Furthermore, every customer will receive a garment to fit them perfectly. It takes about 100-150 hours to make a handmade luxuty suit and up to 1000 hours for an adorned evening dress with thousands of beads sewn by hand. A fashion house like Chanel, for instance, will have around 150 regular clients ordering couture clothes, and a couture house like Dior will make around twenty couture wedding gowns every year. Alongside clothes, renowned haute couture houses make exclusive luxurious accessories, including hats, buttons, belts, jewelry, footwear, handbags. Those who can afford luxury garments are glad to pay for exclusivity and the privacy offered by the system. |
