The Blendtec Total Blender features 25 pre-programmed cycles to choose from, these can be easily accessed through the intuitive scroll menu on the blue LCD screen. Furthermore, four buttons on the touchpad have been left free so that you can create your own personal blending cycles and program them into your blender.
This enables you to can access your favourite blending cycles with one touch of a button, for example; have button 1 for Smoothies, button 2 for Soups, button 3 for Ice Cream and button 4 for Grinding Wheat to Flour – the choice is yours and if you forget what you have programmed in – just press the button and the LCD will tell you what it is! Once you have familiarised yourself with the various pre-programmed cycles, you will be able to pick and choose which cycles suit you best. Once you have added your ingredients, simply press the button for the required cycle and the machine will automatically start.
It will then slowly increase the speed to the required level and then slow down and stop when the cycle is complete, meaning you can simply add your ingredients and walk away.Blendtec have done away with knobs and switches in favour of their Smart-Touch™ control panel which is wipe clean and waterproof. To wash your jug, you simply fill it up half way with warm water and add a tiny drop of washing up liquid – set it to go on full power and your jug is rigorously cleaned.
The jug is now made from a copolyester material that has greater chemical resistance, improved sound dampening qualities, and contains no BPA (Bisphenol A).Many different foods can be processed in the Blendtec Total Blender including fruit and vegetable smoothies, baby food, nut butters, batters, soups, salsas, frozen fruit ice creams, hot soups from cold ingredients, fondue, nut milks, grind coffee, grind seed and grain to flour and even making bread dough.
