Ukraine is a country in the middle of East Europe reputed for its rich cultural legacy. That is why it’s so popular amid the traveling public from the whole world. The primary religion in Ukraine is Christianity, and this has influenced greatly the evolution of the country’s customs. Besides religious issues, the Ukrainian culture has been strongly affected by neighbor countries, both western and eastern.

All this intricate mixture of styles is reflected in the uncommon architecture, music and art of the country. In case you plan a trip to Ukraine, make certain that you study its libraries. They are numerous and dedicated to different subject-matters – from religion and politics to works of fiction. The biggest one is the Ukrainian Academy of Science where the oldest and rarest Ukrainian printed editions are stored. A great means to find out some more about the land is to visit its museums.

Pay special attention to the Museum of Ukrainian Art and Historical Museum of Ukraine, and you will definitely get an idea of what is so special about this nation. The same refers to Ukrainian art exhibits, theatres and literature. What are also deserving of attention in the Ukrainian Republic are its grand churches. You must have heard of 2 internationally known ones – the Cathedral of Saint George and the Saint Andrew Church that are located in Kiev.

The capital of the country, Kiev, is one of the most attractive towns in the Ukrainian Republic not due to temples and cathedrals. The city was almost completely demolished during the Second World War, that’s why practically all the edifices look rather state-of-the-art. But the city of Kiev is full of a wonderful setting of rich cultural heritage.

In addition to edifices and constructions, the Ukrainian Republic is reputed for its beautiful landscape. There are a lot of rivers here, some of them represent the greatest rivers amid East European states, that is why you have a possibility to see personally the water basins you’ve read in travel guides. What’s more, there’re some threatened species of wildlife in the country, and the government is concerned about taking significant steps to defend them.

These animals reside in nature reserves and zoological gardens which are easily visited by public, in order that everybody could see them not on pictures and photos. In this way, you may understand that the Ukrainian republic is a very unusual country and certainly worth visiting.

Moscow is the city to be visited. It is one of the most ancient and most mesmerising cities in the world. Moscow can boast a long and enthralling history. The city has been completely ruined and rebuilt again a greta many times throughout the years. Each time the city was resurrected from the ashes, it grew further and more beautiful.

The most gifted and renowned architects were invited from around the world to restore Moscow. Therefore, Moscow sights are really well worth visiting. Nowadays Moscow is the city where the past and the present live side by side in mutual tolerance and respect. Near ancient monasteries and cathedrals, there tower over ultramodern shopping malls and skyscrapers. But, originally, Moscow is the hub of Russia’s history.

Red Square is the most famous city square in Moscow and, perhaps, one of the most famous in the world. The square separates the Kremlin, which used to be the royal fortress and is now the official residence of the President of Russia, from a historic trading part called Kitai-gorod. As the main Moscow streets run from here in every direction, Red Square is often regarded as the central square of Moscow and of the Russian Federation. Resurrection Gate is known as the only existing gate of the Kitai-gorod in Moscow.

It connects the north-western end of Red Square with Manege Square and gives its name to nearby Voskresenskaya Square (known as Resurrection Square). In front of the chapel there is a bronze plaque marking kilometer zero of the Russian highway system. Alexander Garden was one of Moscow’s first public parks. There are 3 separate gardens located along the western Kremlin wall. The State Historical Museum of Russia is a museum of Russia’s history situated between Red Square and Manege Square.

Its displays range from relics of the prehistoric peoples that live on the territory of present-day Russia to priceless masterpieces of art acquired by the Romanov dynasty. The total number of works of art in the collection displayed in the museum averages out at millions. The Cathedral of Basil the Blessed is a Russian Orthodox cathedral erected in Red Square. It was built to commemorate the capture of Kazan and Astrakhan, and today symbolises the geometric center of Moscow and the center of its development. They say Moscow will definitely exhaust you before you exhaust its possibilities.
